So the graduation season has ended for me. I guess I am now an official highschool graduate…Although they spelled my name wrong on the diploma. But that’s okay they’re fixing it =) It was really fun. A lot more fun than I expected. I graduated with a great group of people who got along well for not hardly knowing each other!
The ceremony was short and sweet and by the time we walked in it was probably halfway over in terms of speakers. I was the first speaker after we walked in which was slightly surprising, but I appreciated being able to relax the rest of the ceremony. Apparently I did well on my speech…At least that’s what everyone said =)
After the speeches we received our diplomas and were graduated! It was a good ceremony with light pupus afterwards. This definitely wasn’t Hawaii though because the food they brought probably wouldn’t ave fed one family in Hawaii! But in Colorado it was perfect =)
And I got leis!!!!!! Early that day my mom had given me a wrist lei which is kinda like a corsage. It was pretty , but I was kinda hoping for a real lei…Little did I know! After the ceremony I given lei after lei after lei! Each time one of my family came up with a lei I couldn’t believe it! I was so surprised and happy!! My hanai family in Hawaii had sent a box and Mom had ordered a couple from a place in Denver! They were so pretty and smelled so good! Thank you!
The day was definitely memorable, and was made even more special by the leis! After the graduation I was talking with one of the ladies from the office I had gotten to know over the year and I may work at TCA College Pathways this year!! They have a position opening up for an assistant in the office and they want me to apply! I’m going to call Monday and talk with her, but we talked to Peter Hilts (principal) and Mary Perez and they both said it would be really cool if I came to work for them! So, I’m starting this process and hopefully I will be gainfully employed very soon =).
It was a good day!

Congratulations Sara! I’m glad you got to have some leis.
And, it’s wonderful that you have a job offer; best of luck in the hiring process.
